New residential and commercial building

on ulmer strasse

Due to the current difficult situation in the German housing market, the city of Augsburg urgently needs a lot of affordable and socially oriented apartments. Low-income citizens are also entitled to good housing and attractive architecture. The implemented concept includes 140 residential units. The apartments have no barriers, some of them are accessible for disabled people. On the ground floor there are public areas, supermarkets, cafes and shops, as well as access to the apartments above. Upstairs there is a spacious garden that combines the neighboring park of the development zone with playgrounds for residential units. All apartments are oriented south to the park.

 Town Hall in BERNRIED

The main principle of the design of this object was the search for forms for the ensemble of the town hall, festival, cultural hall and cafe. As a result, a powerful form was found that avoided the hardness of a rectangular cubature. Different styles in the settlement of Bernried were taken as examples. They form with the severity of rectangular margins the dual image of the characters.

 Administration building PTG, Augsburg

The building has a very unusual facade solution, which hides. Parking in a two-story building is offered as an integrated parking area. The wedge-shaped storage area and the core form a buffer on the ground floor between the garage and the training area. The latter in turn makes it possible to organize high-quality residential and conference areas around the central roof terrace facing west. The vertical space between the plains is enhanced by spacious air spaces and galleries with hanging gardens.

THE NEW RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDING ON ULMER-STRASSE is a good example of affordable and socially oriented apartments.
